DRIVEN BY DEATH – Summary for Manchester, CT II Part 2

The group visited another house on May 1, 2010, in Manchester, CT, where the family had been experiencing numerous types of unexplainable phenomena. This is Part 2 of what occurred during our visit, based on our readings, observations and experiences. The mediums had no prior knowledge of any of the spirits in the home, or what the homeowners had been experiencing. For best results, read Part 1 first.

Back in the playroom, Crystal immediately started playing with dolls – which usually meant that there was a child spirit in the room. Sure enough, it was a spirit named Annie. However, for every question we asked her, her answer was no – which wasn’t a total surprise as Crystal said she was just five years old. Eventually, she did answer yes to a question – she liked to play with the client’s cat. Darlene asked her if there was anyone she wanted to see, and Crystal told us she wanted to see Jack. Of Jack and Jill fame. We couldn’t help but laugh. Darlene asked her anyway if she wanted us to help her see them – but told Crystal that she couldn’t leave with strangers.

She then told Crystal that her parents were dead.

Darlene said that she could see them again, but Annie repeated that they were dead. I asked her why she thought so, and she told us it was a car crash. Dar convinced her that we could still reunite them if she wanted, and she finally agreed to come with us. I led her out of the playroom and we squeezed into the bathroom.

This light was in the bathroom over the tub, yet not as strong as the one in the shed; it was weak and Crystal, Paul and I noticed the difference. I asked her to call for her parents, and Crystal could hear her calling for her mom. I started calling for her parents myself to help, and Crystal could see someone approaching in the light, yet very blurry. The person in the light started coming closer, but Annie still could not recognize her.

Annie told Crystal that it was some lady. Crystal heard, “I’m coming to get you.”

She recognized her as her mother, and ran in immediately.

We went through the rest of the house, and collected two other spirits:

Basement: We found Joanna, 61 years old. She told Crystal she was married to Mark, had two children, and did not work. She saw the light, her husband and passed easily.

Living Room: A 19-year-old man was in the living room, stoned, as Crystal could see him smoking a joint. He offered to share, but once again we declined – we were working. He wore glasses, liked video games and felt rather benign, if not apathetic. After getting him motivated, we passed him through by telling him he could actually see the inside of a video game. He jumped at the chance after smoking another joint and left via the shed.

It was time to go back and get Jackie.

I didn’t expect it would take long, and it didn’t. Telling here that there was no one left in the house, I asked her if she was ready to see her parents. She said, “Yes, please.” But before we left, Darlene had to ask one question.

“Do you like to play with the toy vanity next to the closet?”

She told Crystal that she did, and it reminded her of her mother.

After she answered, I had her take my hand and I led her downstairs. The team headed out to the shed again, this time with Jackie in tow. Once we arrived, I started helping her call for her mom.

But she wouldn’t call.

I explained to Jackie that we both needed to call for her mother, and Crystal joined me in calling her. I said to Jackie that her mom may have gone to the wrong door – and we had to let her know where we were.

Jackie’s mom showed up – holding a bucket. With fish in it. Jackie liked fish, and Crystal could see her putting her hand into the light and touching the fish.

I actually felt Jackie release her hand from mine. And she left with her mom.

We weren’t done yet.

The client told us there was one more place to check – the garage. In the garage was a project car that the client had been working on for several years. We entered, and I was drawn to the inside of the car on the driver’s side – the driver’s seat. I like cars.

But that was not the reason I was drawn to the driver’s seat. Darlene was drawn to the same spot as well.  And Crystal started hearing someone making engine noises.

Vroom, vroom.

It was a very small child.

I asked the client if the car had been in an accident, thinking possibly that someone had died in the vehicle. He knew the history of this car – it had come from New Hampshire but had not been in an accident. Meanwhile, Crystal could hear someone saying “da da, da da.”

I could feel my heartstrings being pulled and knew we had to help him. I got him out of the car, and Darlene said I should give him a piggyback ride. It sounded good to me, except how do you give a piggyback ride to a spirit? How would you put one on your shoulders? How do you hold them there? Would he fall off?

Vroom, vroom.

Taking suggestions from everyone in the garage, I kneeled down onto the floor, and Crystal and Paul helped him onto my shoulders. We then walked outside to the shed, one last time. Once reaching the shed, my next thought was this: how to get him down and through the light?

I didn’t need to. Paul said his father would reach through and take him off my shoulders, so I backed up to the location of the light. I had no idea if this would work – but Paul said we would probably be blessed with this one and it would work.

It did. Crystal saw his father grab him as I backed into the light. Paul noticed the difference in the energy in the light after he passed, and was diminishing.

The seats had come out of a wrecked vehicle from Georgia.

We sat down with the client and reviewed our notes, also explaining what we had found and who we had moved through. Darlene started packing up equipment – but there was one more thing to do, and I had almost forgot.

The top of the stairs.

I went upstairs with Crystal to see what was there, and there was a spirit. He had been watching the evening’s events, so I took advantage of the fact and asked him to confirm that we had cleared the house.  He told Crystal all was clear, but I didn’t feel comfortable leaving him there. So I invited him to come home with us.

Bill made the ride back to New Haven, and we sent him through a week later.
