On Halloween of 2006, GHPS was founded as a Meetup group. As time went on however, we found that due to a high turnover of individuals, mostly due to the transient nature of Meetup, we started to stray from the path that we had intended to follow. This made it difficult to maintain a core group of investigators with experience, which also affected morale and motivation. After a recent joint investigation with another local group, we decided it was time to move away from Meetup as the core of our group, and make the transition away from a mostly discussion-based paranormal investigative group.
As we head toward our next investigation this weekend, we are excited about the future and being able to help both those that are with us and those that have physically parted ways but have decided to stick around. We are also in a unique position in that we have an excellent combination of sensitives, technicians and on-the-ground investigators. In addition, the leadership of the group is shared amongst three of us, which is something I have yet to experience with any active groups – we do play well with others.
Over the next several months, we will continue to add articles and case information to this website. We are also inviting the public to share their thoughts. Please leave a comment at the bottom of this post.
