DOG DAYS OF DEATH – Summary from Southington, CT II, Part 1

We returned to a home in Southington, CT, where the client was seeing mists and the dog was acting strange. This is the story of what occurred during our visit, based on our readings, observations and experiences.

A small dog. A mischievous ghost. An innocent little girl spirit.

And a pain in the ass.

First, a little background.

Some time ago, we discovered the spirit of a small girl named Maggie in the attic of a client’s home. At the time, Crystal was told by another spirit that Maggie’s mother was downstairs in the kitchen, cooking. And so Maggie went downstairs.

That’s when the trouble began.

This particular house has been home to quite a few spirits – we had already passed several through the light during our previous visit. However, since that time, the dog wouldn’t come in the house – preferring to stay in the enclosed back porch. As winter approached, the dog started to stray into the kitchen, but would not venture any further. On rare occasions, she would walk into the living room, only to quickly return to the kitchen.

The client also reported seeing mists where he had not previously, and was convinced something had changed. He was extremely concerned for the well-being of the dog, and wanted the spirits gone. What was going on?

We were determined to find out.

During our initial scan, Crystal, our guest photographer and I wandered throughout the home. While upstairs, I could sense a girl, just under five feet tall, in the client’s computer room. On the main floor, Crystal and Julie felt the presence of a spirit in the dining room, who was sitting in a rocking chair.

Or so we thought.

An experiment with lasers and Frank’s Box technology was set up in the dining room, and we started talking to this spirit. He told Crystal that he didn’t like the experiment, and didn’t want anything to do with it. I then asked him if there was anything or anyone we wanted.

He wanted to see Cindy.

So, we made an agreement. We would help him find Cindy if he would cooperate with us and participate in our experiment. With the agreement in place, Darlene then started reading the EVP questions.

What is your name? Albert – Charles
Why are you here? Stuck – found myself here.
Are you waiting for something or someone? Lost.
Did you live here? No.
Do you want to leave or stay here? Leave.
Were you married? No.
Did you have children? Yes. How many? One.
Are you angry or happy? Shut up

I thought to myself, we have us a live one here.

Are you sad or lonely? Lady, what the f***!
Are you hurting right now? Oh My F****** God!

At the time these answers were being written, I had no idea what he was saying to Crystal. I was thinking it was just another run-of-the-mill EVP question and answer session.

Until Crystal blurted out “Stop cursing!”

I, on the other hand, wanted him to keep talking as much as possible – so I told him he could swear like a sailor as long as he did it into the microphone.

Do you know what year it is? 19 f****** 72!
Do you know where you are? [client’s] house – I know. Why do you care?
What was your birthday? Shut up Vic!
How did you pass away? Fell in a lake.
Were you religious? No, stupid.

Crystal said that he was saying things to her that she did not feel comfortable repeating. We all told her to go ahead and say them anyway.

He was fixated on parts of Darlene’s anatomy.

We finished our normal questions, and had a look at the responses. What was his problem? Why was he so rude? Was it because he was that way when he was alive?

Are you mean to the dog? Yes, want to kick it.
Who were your mom and dad? Fred & Maggie
Brothers or sisters? No.
Grandparents? Luci, Eleanor
Who do you miss the most? Cindy.

Was Cindy his girlfriend?

Where did you live? Bristol.
What kind of car did you drive? Pontiac GTO. Drove into water.
When? Beginning of November
Lake? Yes. In Southington.
What was Cindy’s last name? Smith.
What school did you go to? Desmont(?)
When did you graduate? ‘59
How old are you? 62

We asked about how he felt about the animals in the house, and Albert/Charles told Crystal this:

Hate all animals. I pick on the cats too – the cats like it.
Which one? The orange cat.

We wanted to know more about Cindy – I thought this would be the way to get him to leave, as he missed her. Not quite.

Did Cindy and you live together? Yes. She moved out.
Where did you live together? Southington.
Why did she move out? Cheated on her.

As he was telling Crystal how much he missed Cindy, he was still fixated on Darlene. This did not bode well for our chances of getting him to go through the light, or to keep him from bothering the dog. What would we do?
