MURDER MOST HAUNTED I – Hammonasset Beach, Part 2

West Beach

As we drove to West Beach, Crystal reported that the helper spirit she heard earlier rode in the car with her. She was told that the spirit we were looking for was named Linda. Once we arrived, we exited the vehicles and I looked around. I was pointed in the direction of a field. We moved toward the field and stopped at a small flooded area, near a stream. I looked around the tree trying to figure out if this was the spot, and we called out Linda’s name. Crystal indicated that she was just across a small bridge, and we walked to the side of the stream that ran under it. Calling for Linda once more, we heard no response.

Just then, Crystal could see a woman underwater. Hiding.

We began calling for her even louder, but to no avail. Finally, after a few minutes, Crystal saw her raise her head out of the water.

pebblesLinda was scared – afraid that someone was still out there, waiting to hurt her. She would raise her head out of the water as we called, only to go back under the water immediately afterwards. Crystal could see that she was bruised and bloody, and did not want to leave the safety of the river. So the question was – how do we get her out of the water for good?

Throw rocks.

We stood on the bridge overlooking the stream, and Crystal suggested I start to throw some rocks into the water, to get her up. I started throwing small stones into the water, and Crystal told us Linda wanted me to stop. Linda eventually got up, and started walking towards the bridge where I was standing. Crystal told me to go help her out of the water, so I reached down the embankment and held out my hand. She grabbed my hand, and I pulled her up onto the bridge.

Linda was concerned that the person who hurt her was still around, and I tried to convince her that he was gone and wasn’t coming back. I started talking to Crystal and Sara about Linda, and Crystal noticed that she couldn’t hear Linda anymore.

She went back underwater.

IMG_1950Several more handfuls of small rocks later, we got her out of the water again. Taking her hand one more time, we went to try and find the light for her to walk through. As we were walking, we started asking her questions. She told us that she was with her friend, and was in the area visiting. While at the beach, a man in a mask had attacked her and she was unable to stop his assault.

Crystal believed the light would be at the nearest building, so we approached a food stand that was on the beach. We walked around this stand, unable to locate the light, when we both saw it at the gazebo a few hundred feet away. We made our way to the gazebo, and I felt it was in the middle of this structure. Crystal said she could see it on the left side, so we sat down on benches right next to the light.

scmAs we were trying to get Linda to enter the light, she kept insisting on getting revenge on the person who attacked her. I tried to tell her that it will happen in time, and there was no way for us to do that for her. Sara indicated that it was normal for her to feel this way, and I acknowledged Linda’s feelings on this. However, by this time Crystal couldn’t hear her anymore.

Linda had gone catatonic.

As it was extremely cold and patience was wearing thin within the entire group, Crystal had me take Linda’s hand. She then took a chance and pushed both of us toward the light.

It worked.

Linda’s relatives grabbed her as she fell into the light, and they helped her through. She was gone.

This light too, stayed open.

Were there still more spirits here?
