For those of you who have never seen the GHPS Meetup group, we think now is a good time to introduce the organizers of the team.
Sara
Sara’s interest in the paranormal, while beginning in childhood, was fostered much later in life through the classroom. Serving as a teacher’s assistant for a special topics course in parapsychology, Sara began studying paranormal phenomena. Since then, she has learned a delicate balance between intuition and skepticism, tools she feels help lend a great deal to investigations.
“I learned to look for every feasible explanation, and when I’ve exhausted every avenue and still have no answer, then I turn my attention to paranormal phenomena.”
Sara has lived in Connecticut for two and a half years, spending a majority of her life in Illinois and New York. Whenever she is asked about her beliefs on the paranormal or unexplained, she has this to say; “We are foolish to think we can explain it all — the universe is far too expansive and full of mystery, and that’s why I investigate.”
Michael
Born in North Tarrytown, New York in 1963, Michael started in the graphic arts industry in 1981, working with mainframes running typesetting software. He has been in the industry ever since, managing computer systems, teaching desktop publishing and supporting print production in from California to New England. He currently spends his days repairing and installing PCs and Macs, providing software support and training, and he manages a number of Apple servers. Michael is also involved in print production, where he uses his talents as a typographer and proofreader, and continues to do web and design work.
Michael became interested in the paranormal on a trip to a spiritualist church in Old Greenwich with his mother, sister, aunts and grandmother. He was amazed at the things the gentleman said there to his grandmother, at which point he learned that all of these relatives on his mother’s side were “sensitives,” (now carried on by his two nieces). He has been involved with investigating since 2006, and has been working with talking boards for the past 16 years (with some assistance from his spirit guide). His goal in investigating is to help those that are stuck here to move on to where their soul group is waiting for them, so that they may continue on their spiritual path and ease any pain they may have. His dream is to finally establish a reliable and repeatable method of 2-way communication between these two worlds.
